Silver jewellery has been popular for thousands of years but it has increased in popularity recently for a number of reasons. Silver being cheaper than gold, is often used to make more experimental jewellery - with gold jewellery, the cost of the finished pieces means that they need to be sure that the piece will sell in the current market so more conservative/mainstream designs are created. Silver jewellery is the opposite - which is one of the reasons why the more striking pieces of jewellery are silver.
We at Milton Gems especially love silver jewellery - certainly, we have gold but silver is where our heart is.
